Essentials Series
Build the foundation. Everything else follows.
Three workshops for early career employees at tech companies — building trust, creating clarity, and learning to care about their work in a way that lasts.
WHAT IT IS
Three workshops that give early career employees the foundational skills nobody teaches them in school. Each one tackles something your new hires are quietly struggling with — how to build trust with the people around them, how to create clarity when navigating ambiguity, and how to care about their work in a way that actually sustains them.
Low lift for your team, high impact for theirs.
FORMAT
Cohort-based learning (min. 8 people)
90-minute virtual or in-person workshops
Fast-paced, interactive and fun
Leverages adult learning theory and coaching techniques
The Early Career Workshops
Early career employees often start their first roles with real momentum. Energy, ambition, curiosity, and the belief that this new chapter will feel exciting and meaningful. For many people though, the day-to-day reality of navigating a manager relationship, questioning whether they're in the right role, and adjusting to new cultural norms can lead to a big question: Am I in the right place right now?
Participants will:
Identify what’s shaping motivation and sustainability at work
Use the Care Portfolio to decide what to adjust now
Leave with actions to build or rebuild momentum
Authentically Care
Clarity is a skill. For early career employees navigating high-autonomy environments, learning to create it matters. It's what separates someone who waits for direction from someone who moves work forward.
Participants will:
Turn ambiguity into next steps using sharper questions
Distinguish operational clarity vs strategic clarity
Leave with more clarity and next steps on a current challenge they are facing
Build Trust
Trust-building is one of the most important leadership skills for early career employees. It's also rarely taught in organizations or schools.
Trust is confidence in how someone will show up. For early career employees, it's something you can begin building immediately through small behaviors that compound over time.
Participants will:
Understand what trust looks/feels like in based on their past and within their current environment
Learn the “Trust Triangle for Early Career” and how to apply it
Leave with trust-building actions to use this week
Create Clarity

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Early career employees typically include people who are newer to the workforce or newer to their professional field—often within the first 0–5 years of their career. This can include new grads, employees early in their first full-time roles, and people who are relatively early after a major career pivot. The Essentials Series is built for participants who are still learning how to build credibility, navigate ambiguity, and increase impact in a tech environment.
-
The experience requires a minimum of 8 people. There is no maximum cohort size, though we may have discussions about whether it makes sense to run multiple sessions as cohort size increases.
-
Either. The workshops can be purchased individually or as a package, depending on your goals and timeline.
Many companies choose the full series to build a consistent foundation across Create Clarity, Build Trust, and Authentically Care, but a single workshop can also be a great starting point.
-
The tailoring happens live during group discussions, activities, reflection and action-planning where the participants use their real-world experiences to apply the content and create actions. The overall structure of the sessions is consistent.
-
The ideal timing is when you and your employees are ready to grow. Most companies prefer the Essential Series in the employee’s first year as it can greatly reduce ramp time and the friction that can come with being a new hire.
-
Absolutely! We market it as virtual so that it can be more accessible to companies, but we are always excited when someone wants to run the workshops in-person as that creates more connection between participants. We can also do hybrid where the facilitator and portion of participants are in-person and another portion of participants are virtual. Additional fees may need to be paid to cover the facilitator’s travel expenses.
